Agila from Saltford Motors
Small on the outside, big on the inside and stylish all over, Vauxhall Agila's flexibility is the perfect way to make a busy life simple.
Luggage compartment
The Vauxhall Agila S and SE models have 60:40 split-folding rear seats. When folded forward the seat cushions automatically lower, which – combined with the DualFloor – provides a flat loading area. The load floor can also be fixed in a vertical position to increase load height. On the S and SE models, there is an additional concealed storage compartment below the DualFloor that can hold up to 35 litres of luggage, rarely-used articles, or the parcel shelf (if it’s not in use).
Full-scale flexibility
The clever Agila luggage compartment features extra flexibility and versatility combined with real ease of operation. In the standard configuration there is a useful 225 litres of luggage volume, enough for a pushchair or gym bag. Fully flat-folding rear seats give a highly impressive 1,050 litres of load space. Together with the generous-sized touch-pad operated tailgate and rear-door side loading, this eases shopping for larger items or stowing bulky loads. The middle rear headrest (pictured) is an accessory available from your Vauxhall retailer.
Storage
A large compartment (with lid) on top of the instrument panel has coin holders and enough space for three CDs. The door compartments can take a road atlas or a 1 litre drink bottle. The rear cup-holder is big enough for a 1.5 litre bottle. A compartment for small items, like wallets, is located under the heater control in the central console. With the S and SE models, a sunglasses holder in instinctive reach of the driver is also standard.
Engines and transmissions
There are two petrol engines available, each designed to perfectly complement the advanced chassis technology and add a real sparkle to the Vauxhall Agila performance.
The three-cylinder, entry-level engine delivers a nimble 48 kW or 65 PS from just a 1.0 litre capacity. The larger 1.2 litre engine (69 kW/94 PS) adds extra zest to the acceleration and cruising performance while still delivering frugal fuel consumption.
Both Agila engines come with a light and easy five-speed manual transmission, for those who prefer an even easier city drive effort, the four-speed automatic transmission on the 1.2 petrol engine is the ideal choice. Both feature a convenient, high-mounted gear lever.
ecoFLEX
For many drivers, the environment comes before everything else. If you share this commitment, Vauxhall Agila is for you: with a CO2 emission of only 119g per km, the Vauxhall Agila ecoFLEX with 1.0 and 1.2 litre engine is the most economical and environmentally friendly way to enjoy driving.
Modern chassis technology
A small car with big car-ride comfort demands advanced chassis technology. By combining integrated sub-frame technology with McPherson struts at the front and torsion-beam rear suspension, the ride and road holding of the Vauxhall Agila delivers both comfort and handling precision. To maximise these benefits, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and speed-sensitive power steering are standard.
So when it comes to city agility or open road ability, the Vauxhall Agila delivers real-time driving fun.
The Vauxhall Agila can also be equipped with a new generation electronic stability programme (ESP®). In critical situations, ESP® stabilises the vehicle by intervening with the brakes on up to all four wheels. This means skid correction is both more sensitive as well as more effective. By introducing traction control, the system also helps prevent wheel-spin during acceleration on slippery surfaces.
