Exterior design
The design of the sweeping front draws your eye to the car’s subtle curves and harmonious lines. The distinctive headlight cluster with its ‘wing’ signature and radiator grille highlights the flowing lines of the bonnet and the wide presence of the Insignia 5-door Saloon is highlighted by the integrated wheel arch extensions. It’s all part of the self-confident expression of the new Vauxhall design vocabulary.
The rear of the vehicle extends gracefully into the flowing, powerful lines of the coupé-like roofline. Here design has achieved a harmony that allows the new mid-sized Vauxhall to appear both strong and elegant.
Vauxhall Insignia is designed with a holistic thoroughness so detailed that even the suspension components have been aerodynamically optimised. The result is one of the lowest drag-coefficients in the class.
Interior design
Inside the car, the themes echo the flowing lines and soft curves characteristic of the outside. The skill and refinement that has been invested in the Vauxhall Insignia is evident in every detail.
The elegant yet sporty style – designed to meet the highest standards in ergonomics and comfort – is combined with high-quality surfaces, chrome accents and bold colours. All main surfaces are textured with ‘soft touch’ materials, giving the cabin a premium tactile quality. The top front-fascia panel is a continuous arc that flows into the shaped door mouldings, lending the cabin a wide and spacious feel. The steep rake of the windshield means the front passenger airbag can be accommodated without compromising space for a large glove box.
